When storing DNA samples, it is known that they must be prepared to be stored to some extent. Traditionally, the method of choice has been to freeze the DNA samples, then thaw them when needed. Otherwise, the samples would remain in a room-temperature environment. Under both circumstances, the sample’s integrity is threatened.
